A new case study with Alvatech Geomembrane. Mine in Central America

SOTRAFA shares a new Case Study about a large project carried out in an iron mine in Central America.
The process required the construction of a tailing dam and a clean water pool, both waterproofed with Geosynthetics. The waterproofing was a huge challenge due to the climatic characteristics of the area, with average rainfall of more than 80mm per day and temperatures above 30º.
ALVATECH LLDPE Geomembrane textured on one and both sides was installed. The choice was based on the product’s superior friction angle of the product was important, thanks to its 57,000 spikes per m2 exceeding 0.90mm height, which provides a high safety coefficient, and is especially appreciated by the Mining Industry
